WILD BALTIC SWAMPS AND FORESTS

Catching early morning light in a wild swamp has always been one of my personal favourite moments. Thankfully there are many great locations to choose from in Latvia and Estonia, which are both abundant in wild landscapes and wildlife.

  • One day tour starting off in Riga, Latvia will take you to one of the local swamps (Kemeri or Cenas Tirelis) just in time for sunrise - starting time will vary depending on the time of the year. It is also possible to start later and catch the last light of the day - you choose!
  • Two day tour will provide more opportunities to explore different locations (swamps, forests, national parks and coastal areas) in both morning and evening light. Tour examples: early morning in a swamp near Riga + west coast of Latvia (Liepāja, Cape Kolka, Slītere National Park) or early morning in a swamp near Riga + Gauja National Park.
  • Two day tour in Estonia starting off in Tallinn or Tartu. Tour examples: early morning in a swamp + Lahemaa National Park and Northern coast (if starting from Tallinn) or early morning in a swamp + southern Estonia (if starting from Tartu).
  • You might also consider creating your own bespoke tour to see best Baltic states have to offer.

TOUR of SCOTLAND

Scotland is definitely one of the most loved places for landscape photographers from all over the world. It is easy to see why - here you can find an incredible diversity of landscapes - majestic hills, remote beaches, magical waterfalls, cliffs, caves, abandoned settlements and mysterious castles. Rough and often stormy weather creates a moody atmosphere and no day is the same here!

Tours can be either 3 or 4 days long covering some of the most epic locations across Scotland. Classic itinerary includes Glencoe and Isle of Skye, but we can be flexible and include other amazing locations, such as Outer Hebrides and far North. Longer tours are available as well.

What is included

  • Study materials of covered topics (.pdf file or brochure).

    TESTIMONIALS

"LOST IN NORTH workshop in Scotrland with Philip was one of the best experiences I could ask for - his knowledge of technical aspects of landscape photography, sense of composition and friendly personality are a perfect guidance one could wish for.

Despite being an editorial photographer, during the workshop I trained my eye to get better at spotting perfect background to place a subject in. Whether you are a landscape photographer or not - this is a perfect opportunity to get a lot of inspiration from the process itself, lots of fresh air in your lungs, and most importantly - approach a landscape photography in your own way.

Let Philip take you to places you would never find by yourself and be ready to take the magnificent beauty of nature home with you!"

    Kristine Krauze-Slucka, Editorial photographer, Latvia

"My experience with Philip with the Lost in North tour around the Glencoe Valley was one of the highlights of my trip to Scotland. Transportation is included and pick-up was right where I was staying, which made it really convenient. The stops are at places that you wouldn't get access to on a regular touristic tour. The place was truly amazing with picture perfect scenery!

I was given insight on tips and tricks in landscape photography which have been really helpful. A take-home handout is also given about what was taught during the tour and at the end of the tour there was a little workshop about the composition and editing of your photos. Philip was really helpful throughout the whole tour! Thank you once again for a great experience!

A highly recommended tour in the case that you would like to discover some amazing scenery for your camera to shoot!"

    Marina Proksch, photography enthusiast, Spain

"I went to Glencoe and Isle of Skye with Philip in February and what can I say… It was such a freaking good experience! I have never seen such a beautiful piece of Earth before. Philip knew the spots like the back of his hand. He always had an idea where to be at what time to get the perfect light. Philip showed me to take my time for the perfect shot! I loved the way we were working together. He reacted individually to my enthusiasm for lost places and stopped our tour whenever I wanted to see something.

I can highly recommend a Tour with this skilled Landscape Photographer. Philip knows how to show the mood of Scotland’s North!"
